■ [Script] XMLHttpRequest 仕様みたいなもの
Mozilla.org からリンクを辿ってとりあえず仕様っぽいのを見つけました。メモメモ。でもこれ一体どこでどう使えばいいんだろう。手近な実験台として AS で何かやってみたい気がします。
■ [ブラウザ] Firefox 1.0.2 (ja-JP) リリース済み？

……というわけでいつの間にか Firefox 1.0.2 日本語版が出ていたようです。ソフトウェアアップデートをかけたら重要な更新として出てきました。ftp.mozilla.org には何故か 1.0.1/ (ディレクトリ) までしかありませんね……どうしてでしょう。
とりあえず、手順が少しややこしかったですが、いつものようにアンインストール→インストールで移行しましたよ。こうしないと旧版のアンインストール情報が残ってしまうので。（いつになればこれが直るのだろう？）
- ソフトウェアアップデートをかける
- インストーラーが起動するが、即座にキャンセル
- Firefox 1.0.1 をアンインストーラーで削除
- ユーザー用一時ファイルディレクトリにダウンロードされているインストーラーを再度実行しインストールする (追記: デスクトップにも一度保存されるようなので、これをそのまま実行する方が分かりやすいです)
- 無事終了
アンインストールする時に拡張やテーマが消えてしまうと勘違いしている人がよくいるみたいですが、消えませんし、設定もそのまま残ります。別に拡張をバックアップするとかしないでも大丈夫ですよ？
■ [雑記][Web制作] メイン（=本文）のフォントは変えない方がいいかもしれない
Tarisaka フォントをメインに使っていましたが、ふと気が向いてメインのフォント設定を弄っていたら『ヒラギノ丸ゴ Pro W4』が、かなり綺麗で読みやすい文字になったので、メインにする事にしました。かなり小さな文字でもかなり綺麗に見えます。素晴らしい。
で、フォントの綺麗さに満足してホクホクなのに巡回中にメインのフォントを MS Pゴシックとかに変えられると『フォントが汚くて、なんだか少し嫌かも？』と感じました。自分も（MS P ゴシックではないけど）メインの部分のフォントをよく指定しているので、ユーザーさんにこういう思いをさせているのかもしれないですね……。
特別な装飾があるような部分以外はフォント弄りをしない方がユーザーにとってやさしい Web サイトになるのかもしれないです。これからはメインのフォントは指定するにしても sans-serif, serif, monospace のどれかにしようと思いました。
